A woman is accused of trying to run over her boyfriend in the parking lot of Win River Casino. On Friday at 10AM sheriff’s deputies were called, and they reviewed surveillance footage, heard from witnesses, and interviewed 26-year-old Britney Matthews and the victim. They had both arrived in Britney’s car and when they got out Britney could be seen striking the man multiple times with her fists. He walked away as Britney returned to her car and then apparently drove it at high speed toward the victim. He turned around and jumped out of the way just in time as the car went by. It collided with three parked cars, causing major damage, and destroyed a casino-owned utility vehicle. Fortunately nobody was injured, but Britney faces charges that include attempted murder.
