Resident Suffers Minor Burns Trying To Extinguish Shed Fire

A fire on Saturday morning destroyed a shed, possibly being used as a home, in the yard of a California Street house. The shed was not occupied when the fire started, but a resident of the main house suffered minor burns trying to extinguish it. Redding Fire Department contained the fire within 5 minutes, but the shed was a total loss and carport was also damaged. The value of the damage is estimated at $3,000 for the shed and another $500 worth of contents.
