Deputies Recover Over $120,00 Worth Of Stolen Goods After Tip From Colusa County Sheriff’s Office

Vehicles and other property taken in a burglary at an Igo area property wound up scattered all over Happy Valley, Anderson and elsewhere. Last Wednesday Colusa County Deputies recovered an unreported stolen Chevy Silverado pickup and arrested John Fritz of Anderson along with a San Jose man. Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies were notified and they went to the address where the pickup was registered in the Trinity Alps Preserve, finding the home obviously ransacked and burglarized. They couldn’t tell what was missing because the resident was deceased, and with the estate’s executor out of the area, the property was left unprotected. On Friday Clifford Schreder was arrested on Olinda Road with another Chevy Silverado pickup and a Polaris UTV apparently taken from the Igo-area home. On Saturday John Fritz was arrested at his Towhee Lane home with a flatbed trailer, and a Jeep Wrangler was found at Laverne Lane and Saddle Trail in Happy Valley, both reportedly from that same burglary. The sheriff’s office says a total of more than $121,000 worth of stolen goods has been recovered so far, and the investigation continues.
