PG&E is planning a public safety power shutoff starting Wednesday. Depending on wind conditions, the plan at this point is to cut electricity at 6 O’clock tonight and complete re-energizing by 10 O’clock Friday night. About 50,000 PG&E customers would be affected, including 4,700 in Shasta County, 1,230 in Tehama County and 11,400 in Butte County. Customer notifications began Monday afternoon.
