40 additional cases of Coronavirus were reported Friday for a total of 1,343. There have been 24 Shasta County fatalities. The new cases range age from children under 13 to people older than 89. There are currently 157 active cases with 4 of them hospitalized. 323 people are quarantined due to possible exposure.
There have been 51,355 negative tests in Shasta County. Testing continues to increase with nearly 800 tests conducted on Thursday. Same day testing appointments are available. The best option can be found by going to shastaready.org and clicking on “get tested”.
Butte County reported 3 additional deaths on Friday for a total of 48. 7 new cases were recorded for a total of 2,914. Tehama County has had 677 cases and now 8 deaths. Trinity County decreased the number of cases by 7 after testing results were found to be false by a state lab. 19 cases have been confirmed in Trinity County. Glenn County has had 623 cases and 3 deaths. Lassen County has had 111 cases in the community, in addition to 637 in the prison population. There have been 172 in Siskiyou County with one death and 522 in Humboldt County with 8 deaths. Modoc County has now reported 28 cases.
