Shasta County reported 18 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday for a total of 777. Among the new cases were 4 teenage girls and one teenage boy. Public health reported that a man in his 80’s died bringing the total number of deaths to 17. 17 of the people testing positive Thursday reported symptoms. 6 people are hospitalized and 2 are in intensive care. There are 65 active cases and 196 people are quarantined due to possible exposure. The numbers from the weekend will be released Monday.

Butte County has reported 44 deaths among their 2,774 cases. Tehama County has had 544 cases and and 5th death was reported Friday. Trinity County has had 16 cases. Glenn County has had 578 cases and 3 deaths. Lassen County has had 103 cases in the community, in addition to 636 in the prison population. There have been 165 in Siskiyou County and 501 in Humboldt County with 7 deaths. Modoc County has now reported 27 cases.
