Man Who Threatened To Kill Girlfriend Faces 12 Years In Prison

A 20-year-old Anderson man has reached a plea deal in the attempted murder of his girlfriend. On April 27th the victim went to visit Kyle Anthony Bebout at his apartment in Anderson. She was later than expected and Bebout was furious. He started screaming and breaking things, then grabbed her, pushed her, and threw her to the ground. When she started to walk away he wrapped a belt around her neck and strangled her to unconsciousness. When she woke up Bebout said he would kill her if she called the police. He then smothered her with a pillow and strangled her again while continuing to yell that he would kill her. On Monday Bebout pleaded no contest to attempted murder and other charges. Next week he’ll be sentenced to 12 years in state prison.
