A woman arrived at her home in the Olinda area Sunday night to find a man sitting in her living room. Valerie Rosenstiel immediately turned and ran out of the house to call 9-1-1. Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived shortly afterward to the Bright Path home to find Rosenstiel standing on the road waiting for them. A perimeter was set up and deputies approached the home. They noticed that the glass on the front door had been broken. They called for the suspect to come outside, and 53-year-old Roger Darden walked out to be taken into custody.
