Anderson Police say a man tried to ditch his drugs as he was being pulled over, but it didn’t escape the eye of the officer. Around 2AM Friday 52-year-old Richard Louis Wagner was being stopped on the offramp from Northbound Interstate 5 to Balls Ferry Road. As he rolled down the ramp he allegedly threw an item out the passenger side window into the bushes. When he came to a stop the officer found that he was on post release supervision for drug sales and had an active felony warrant. Aero the K9 was brought to the scene, and quickly found a zippered pouch on the roadside containing Methamphetamine and Heroin. A search of the car reportedly turned up a large amount of Marijuana, a digital scale and packaging. Wagner was booked for several drug charges, and littering.
