A man from Hornbrook who was camping near Douglas City was arrested for felony domestic violence after assaulting a victim with a gun. Saturday evening Trinity County Deputies were called by the victim, who said 37-year-old Joshua Hughes had fled into the woods with a handgun and she heard a gunshot a short time later. She was treated for minor injuries. With help from a CHP helicopter, Hughes was found a short time later with the gun, and he was booked into jail.
