Five more COVID-19 cases have been reported in Shasta County for a total of 176. The latest cases are a boy and girl both under age 13, a woman in her 50’s and a man and woman in their 80’s. 3 of them have symptoms. Six Shasta County residents have died. There are 42 active cases, 4 people are hospitalized and 2 of them are in the I.C.U. 168 people are quarantined due to possible exposure.
Butte County reported 24 new cases Thursday for a total of 319. Tehama County is up to 98. Glenn County’s sudden surge to 159 has placed it on the list of counties the governor has ordered back on restricted openings. Lassen County has spiked to 40 cases in the community, in addition to 227 in the prison population. Siskiyou County has had 33. There have been 157 in Humboldt County. Trinity County is still reporting 2 cases, and there are still none confirmed in Modoc County.
