Thursday 9:30AM: 11 New Cases In Shasta County

Some Northern California counties may have to reverse their business openings as an alarming surge of Coronavirus continues. On Wednesday another 11 cases were reported in Shasta County for a total of 129. The latest range in age from their 20’s to their 80’s. Six of the new cases have symptoms and and one is hospitalized. 4 people have died. There are 33 patients isolated with the virus and a total of 9 are hospitalized in Shasta County, 2 of them in I.C.U. 199 people are quarantined due to possible exposure.

Butte County reported 14 new cases on Wednesday for a total of 189. Tehama County has had 78. Glenn County has surged to 115, placing it on the list of counties that the governor has ordered back on restricted openings. Lassen County has reported 14 cases in the community, in addition to 219 in the prison population. Siskiyou County has had 31. There have been 136 in Humboldt County. Trinity County is still reporting 2 cases, and there are still none confirmed in Modoc County.
