A man from Eureka who was wanted for two armed robberies in Chico has apparently been killed after a high speed chase in Red Bluff. 32-year-old Jacob Gabriel was suspected in a robbery of a gas station on Cohasset Road in Chico Sunday and a credit union on Pillsbury Road in Chico Monday. His car was spotted Tuesday in Chico and pursued, but officers gave up the chase out of concern for public safety. At around 10 O’clock Tuesday night Gabriel’s vehicle was seen entering Red Bluff on Antelope Boulevard and a chase was on. He hit a median barrier on Main Street and rolled over. he was declared dead at the scene.
