Crews working with the City of Redding Parks Department will be removing burn piles in West Redding Tuesday on a project that has been delayed by the pandemic. The piles are in the area of Teton Drive and Canyon Creek Road on the west side of Buenaventura. The piles were created from debris from February 2019’s snow storm. The plan had been to get the area cleared before this years fire season, but the Coronavirus pandemic had put a hold on the project. Crews could not gather for several weeks and are quickly losing a window to get the piles moved before fire season kicks into high gear. Crews will be working in the area Tuesday and will return in the fall to finish the project. Some traffic delays are possible.
