Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect after the Chevron gas station on Hilltop Drive was robbed on Saturday afternoon. Redding Police were called just before 1PM to the gas station at 1650 Hilltop. The clerk reported that he was working the counter when a white male adult entered the store and approached the counter. The man pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded cash. The clerk gave him an undisclosed amount of cash before he left the store. He got into a silver hatchback and fled northbound on Hilltop. Police searched the area, but the suspect was not found. He is described as five foot eight, with an average build, and was unshaven. He was wearing a dark T-shirt and dark pants. The clerk also reported seeing a female in the front passenger seat of the getaway vehicle.
