Independence Day falls on a Saturday this year, but Redding will have to enjoy the fireworks without the party. The Freedom Festival will not take place and the area around the Civic Auditorium will be closed all day on the 4th. The only available parking will be for visitors to Turtle Bay and the Sheraton Hotel. Everyone should definitely find a place with a clear view because the fireworks display will start at around 10 O’clock in all its glory, thanks to funding by the McConnell Foundation.
