Shasta County is reporting another 4 new COVID-19 cases, for a total of 62. They include 2 women in their 50’s with no symptoms, a man in his 40’s with symptoms and a woman in her 30’s with symptoms. None of them were associated with the family gathering breakout reported earlier in the week. 4 Shasta County residents have died. 12 people are in isolation, one of them hospitalized. 38 people are quarantined due to possible exposure. Butte County has had 90 cases with one death. Tehama County has had a total of 28, with one fatality. Trinity County has had 2. Humboldt County has had 108, with two deaths. There have now been 21 in Siskiyou County, 48 in Del Norte County, 38 in Glenn County and 9 in Lassen County. There are still none reported in Modoc County, where they held their first testing clinic last Thursday. Anyone can get tested for free, whether showing symptoms or not, at a covid testing station at Shasta College or Red Bluff Community Center or Corning High School. If insurance doesn’t cover the cost, the state will. Appointments must be made at lhi.care/covidtesting. Mobile testing is available in Burney and Fall River, with appointments at 225-5591. Shasta County has reported 8,019 negative test results.
