Butte County has seen 15 new cases of COVID-19 over the past week. On Tuesday 8 additional cases were confirmed for a total of 88. On Monday, the county reported 6 additional cases. Tehama County has also seen a large increase in the number of cases. 1 new case was announced Tuesday for a total of 28. On Monday there were 6 new reported cases. In Shasta County a woman in her 20’s with symptoms tested positive on Monday for a total to 51. Shasta County has had 4 deaths. 3 people are in isolation. 45 people are quarantined due to possible exposure. Trinity County has had 2. Humboldt County is up to 112, with two deaths. There have now been 18 in Siskiyou County, 47 in Del Norte County, 32 in Glenn County and 9 in Lassen County. There are still none reported in Modoc County, but they held their first testing clinic last Thursday. Health and Human Services has created a dashboard at shastaready.org to show the county’s current COVID-19 status, with alert levels and indicators of how effective community efforts have been in controlling the virus.
