An arrest has been made in the murders of two men in East Redding on last Thursday. A woman called 9-1-1 Thursday afternoon when she arrived at the home on Bunker Street, just off East Cypress Avenue and found the bloodied body of a man. The other victim wasn’t discovered until police got there. The dead men have been identified as 68-year-old Ya Sosavanh and 64-year-old Cheng Chu. Both men had been shot. Evidence at the scene, witness interviews and surveillance footage from the area led investigators to 74-year-old Nouan Mokthephathai, who lived nearby. He’s in jail on a Million Dollars bail. Police say he had ongoing disputes with both victims.
