Stolen livestock in Cottonwood has been recovered. Someone had taken advantage of school closures by stealing F.F.A. livestock. Monday morning, staff at West Cottonwood Junior High on 1st Street in Cottonwood discovered that overnight someone had cut through a chain link fence and stolen three sheep and a goat. The theft was partially captured on video surveillance, revealing the suspects just before 9 O’clock Sunday night and again just after 9PM. They were driving a dark colored sedan. The three sheep belong to F.F.A. students and the goat belongs to the school. At 5 O’clock Tuesday afternoon someone on Joann Lane called the sheriff’s office to say the 3 sheep and the goat were on their property. They were all in good health and returned to the school. The sheriff’s office still wants to catch the thieves. Surveillance images are on the KQMS Facebook page.
