New Fully Electric RABA Bus To Hit The Streets

Redding Area Bus Authority is rolling out a bus of the future. The 35-foot Proterra bus is 100% electric, with an operating range of 150 miles on a single charge. Funding for the bus mostly came from the Federal Transit Administration, with electrification support from Redding Electric Utility. Starting in 2029, all new purchases by public transit agencies must be zero emissions buses. The new bus will go into service soon on the RABA bus routes.
