An undercover operation against shoplifters by Anderson Police on Friday led to 14 arrests. The Problem Oriented Policing Unit hit Wal-Mart, Safeway, Grocery Outlet and Rite-Aid. Charges against the 14 suspects include theft, drug possession, assault on a police officer and resisting arrest. Several had been arrested for theft before, but they weren’t all thieves. A 51-year-old woman was reportedly drunk and caught urinating in front of the Wal-Mart.
