A long running investigation involving several law enforcement agencies has led to three arrests and the seizure of illegal weapons and a large quantity of drugs. SINTF was assisted by Redding and Anderson Police, the CHP, and the Federal DEA. On Thursday morning agents arrived with search warrants at a number of locations in Redding, as well as the Dry Creek Road area, reportedly seizing around 4.5 pounds of Methamphetamine. They also say they recovered five semi-automatic firearms, including an AR-15 style assault rifle, along with high capacity magazines and thousands of rounds of ammunition that included light armor piercing bullets. 31-year-old Benjamin Long and 28-year-old Jade Baldo, both of Redding, were arrested as well as 27-year-old Andrew Duenas of Sacramento, who SINFT says is a documented member of the Hispanic Gang Nuestra Familia and was a wanted parolee at large. He apparently tried to make a run for it when law enforcement arrived, but was caught with the help of an RPD K9.
