The North Valley Community Foundation, which has been distributing funds in the efforts to rebuild after the Camp Fire, is returning a large donation. In November, the Walmart Foundation entered into an agreement with NVCF to grant One Million Dollars, on the condition that a low-barrier homeless shelter be built by December 1st. A coalition of 4 non-profit agencies had been working on the project, but couldn’t come to a consensus on the project. Three are still pursuing the project on their own, so NVCFf has decided that they didn’t need to be involved any more and is returning the funds.
