One of Shasta County’s designated chronic offenders tried to avoid capture with a poor attempt at disguise. 33-year-old Christopher Michael Dalton had three active warrants and was a target of the Chronic Offender Accountability Program, having generated 24 calls for service in 2017 and 2018, resulting in 10 arrests, including for burglary, assault, assault with a deadly weapon, drugs and more. Last Wednesday an Anderson Police Officer recognized Dalton, despite the fact he had concealed his balding head with a bushy sandy brown wig. Dalton will remain in custody until his charges are processed by the court.
