A man from Yreka has been sentenced after making a plea bargain from an alcohol-involved crash that killed another man last November, according to the Siskiyou Daily News. 23-year-old Tyler Adams-Warf had spent the day at his parents ranch branding cattle and drinking. Family members told him not to drive, but he left anyway. CHP dispatch got a 9-1-1 call reporting a flatbed Ford F-350 swerving badly on Old Highway 99 near Pumphouse Road, and about a minute later Adams-Warf crossed over the center line and collided head-on with a Ford Focus. The small car was driven by 26-year-old Dustyn Crowe. He had served in the Air Force, attended college in Mississippi, then returned home to Yreka to work at the mill. He was on his way to pick up a co-worker when he was killed in the head-on crash. Adams-Warf had a blood-alcohol level of nearly .20, two-and-a-half times the legal limit. After pleading guilty to two felonies- gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI causing injuries- Adams Warf was sentenced last week to 10 years in prison.
