A Cottonwood man has turned himself in for a robbery of the Safeway Gas Station in Anderson. Widely seen surveillance video of the March 30th robbery shows a man walk into the Balls Ferry Road mini-mart and approach the counter holding a large knife. The cashier is seen stacking money into the robber’s hand before the robber walks back out. Anderson Police had been investigating the incident and their findings were reviewed by the District Attorney’s Office, which issued an arrest warrant for 22-year-old Tyler Jesse Ward. He surrendered himself to the Shasta County Jail on Friday and was booked for armed robbery.
