One of Shasta County’s chronic offenders has been sentenced to multiple years behind bars, but he’ll need to serve his time in Shasta County Jail because of the AB-109 rules. Michael Chandler’s multiple arrests include charges of drug possession, burglary and grand theft auto. On Friday he pleaded guilty to four felony cases. He’ll be sentenced to 5 years, with the first two years in jail and the other three on mandatory supervision. If he violates the terms he’ll have to serve the rest of the time in jail.
