Redding Police Department and the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office are both overhauling their websites, so for now a number of crimes will have to be reported the old fashioned way. The online “report a crime” feature will be unavailable on both reddingpolice.org and the brand new shastasheriff.com until sometime next week. A number of non-violent crimes, including credit card fraud, various thefts and vandalism will need to be reported by calling the police department at 225-4200, or for the sheriff’s department it’s 245-6540.
