The Anderson Police Department has K9 Chance back on the job. The dog had a shot fired through his ear while taking down 25-year-old Dillion James Sullivan on December 29th after a chase that started at Win-River Casino and ended in the area of Barney Street in Anderson. Sullivan is being charged with attempted murder of 2 Anderson PD officers and one Redding police officer, as well as other felonies. The department reported that Chance came back to work to find about a dozen get well and thank you cards, as well as treats and a homemade blanket. In addition, there also donations made to cover his vet bills.
