CHP Seeks Public’s Help Identifying Victim Killed By Allegedly Drunk Driver

Officials are trying to figure out the identity of a man who was killed by an allegedly drunk driver Monday night in Los Molinos, according to the Red Bluff Daily News. Shortly before 10 O’clock the man was walking a bicycle north from the Fast Track Gas Station parking lot crossing Tehama-Vina Road when 25-year-old Jacob Henry Thomas Cady of Los Molinos made what the CHP called an unsafe turn from Highway 99. His Ford Excursion struck the man, who died at the scene. Cady apparently didn’t stick around to check on the victim, but instead continued to his home at the River Inn Trailer Park. That’s where CHP Officers found him and determined he was intoxicated. Cady was arrested for felony DUI causing death, hit and run causing death and gross vehicular manslaughter. The victim was not carrying any identification. He’s simply described as an older man.
