Redding’s Airports Manager has announced that he’s taking a new job in Utah. Bryant Garrett, manager of the city-owned Benton Airpark and Redding Municipal Airport is accepting a similar position as manager of the Ogden, Utah Airport. A familiar face will expected to replace him on an interim basis.Subject to city council approval, former Airports Manager Rod Dinger will fill the position until the city can find a permanent replacement. Garrett was part of the team that is bringing non-stop flights between Redding and Los Angeles. The new service, announced in September, will start in March.Garrett says he has mixed emotions about leaving Redding, after coming here 4 and a half years ago. He starts his new job at the end of January.
