A Tehama County man has gotten a break after being convicted of arson. Cal-fire brought felony charges against 47-year-old James Edward Scott after his arrest on August 7th. Scott was caught on Interstate 5 running in and out of traffic while lighting multiple fires in the dry grass of the freeway median. He’s been given a suspended 10 year prison sentence, 5 years probation and 270 days in jail.
