Pharmacist Found Guilty Of Stealing Pills

An employee of a Redding pharmacy has been convicted of stealing drugs from work. Stephanie Rae Heathcote worked as a pharmacy technician in the Rite Aid Pharmacy at Eureka Way and Court Street. On April 2nd she was caught stealing 12 Hydrocoddone pills and 4 Tamiflu pills. She was seen putting the pills in her pocket and taking them home. When Rite Aid did an internal investigation, Heathcote confessed to the theft. A jury has found her guilty of felony stealing drugs by fraud and misdemeanor embezzlement. She’ll be sentenced in January.
