It’s not known why someone would want to destroy art. Two large sculptures of bighorn sheep made from plywood had sat in a field on leased city property on Riverland Drive south of Knighton Road. The sculptures were easily seen by travelers going by on Interstate Five. They had been ordered removed by the county because they were placed there without a permit. Before the move could be made, vandals hit them late Friday night or early Saturday morning, completely destroying them.
