The beach bus is back. Thanks to a grant from Dignity Health to The Friends of Whiskeytown, Redding Area Bus Authority will launch the service on Thursday. The bus service will make three round trips a day on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday between Brandy Creek and the Downtown RABA Terminal with stops at Old Shasta, the visitors center, and Dog Beach. A round trip ticket costs $1.50. Kids younger than 6 ride for free.
