Drug agents say a North Redding business was being used as a front for drug distributing, even though the former owner is now serving a long prison term for the same thing. Last June 44-year-old Matthew Mark Luke was pulled over by Redding Police for using his cell phone while driving. Luke was on drug probation so his car was searched and officers found more than a pound of Methamphetamine packaged for sale, along with $10,000 cash. Luke had 8 prior drug sales convictions and is now is Folsom Prison. He had been using his business, Custom Chrome Creations on Beltline Road, as part of his drug dealing. The current owner of the business is Luke’s girlfriend, 52-year-old Rebecca Elizabeth Howe. Shasta Interagency Narcotics Task Force had gotten tipped off that drugs were still being dealt out of the place, so search warrants were served Wednesday for the business and Howe’s home. At Custom Chrome Creations the task force found 44-year-old Wesley Dean Kennedy, an employee who was also living at the business. They also reported finding a large amount of paraphernalia and a pound of processed marijuana. While agents and officers were there, 29-year-old Jose Francisco Hernandez-Rodrigo showed up. He was allegedly there to deliver a half pound of Methamphetamine. A search warrant was acquired for his Redding home, where another pound and a half was reportedly found. Both men were booked into jail on drug charges. Rebecca Howe is still being sought.
