A Redding health clinic is getting a sizeable federal grant. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has announced an award of 5.2 Million Dollars to Shasta Community Health Center. A clinic in Susanville is getting 1.8 Million. The grants were announced by Congressman Doug LaMalfa’s office. LaMalfa says rural health centers allow many people to get healthcare without traveling long distances.
