A man wanted for stalking his ex-wife was arrested at her home early Friday morning. 45-year-old Richard Brian Vaughan previously served jail time for stalking the woman, and she had a restraining order against him. Over the last several days she had repeatedly reported that he was harassing her, but he was gone every time police arrived at the Cascade Drive home. At around One O’clock Friday morning he was reportedly still there when officers arrived and he took off, hopping over fences and running through backyards. A CHP helicopter helped in the search and spotted Vaughan going into a garden shed in someone’s backyard. Officers surrounded the shed and ordered him out, but he wouldn’t give up, even when they tossed pepper spray canisters inside. When officers started kicking in the door, Vaughan finally surrendered. He was booked into jail on $400,000 bail.
