A homeowner in a nice West Redding neighborhood has been arrested because his son was suspected of dealing drugs out of the house. For several months Redding’s Neighborhood Police Unit has been getting anonymous complaints about the house at the corner of Dartmouth Drive and Sienna Avenue. Officers who started watching the house say there were frequent short visits from alleged known drug users who were there to see the homeowner’s adult son. Officers with the NPU had a long talk with the owner, 62-year-old Roger Triggs, explaining their suspicions about the drug dealing. Triggs reportedly agreed to try to put an end to the drug activity. Officers kept watching the house and kept getting complaints so they got a search warrant, which was served on Thursday. Drug residue, paraphernalia and other unspecified evidence was found, but apparently no actual drugs. Still, Triggs and his wife were both arrested for maintaining a home for the purpose of possessing, using and selling drugs. While officers were there, 29-year-old Rick Camy and 25-year-old Jennifer Irwin stopped by. They said they were there to talk about a car for sale, but Camy allegedly had heroin and both were arrested.
