An Oregon woman is in Shasta County Jail, accused of killing and dismembering a man in Klamath Falls. 26-year-old Sheyanna Ray was picked up by Redding Police on Sunday. A story in the Medford Mail-Tribune says she’s facing charges of murder, assault, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence following the discovery on Saturday of 50-year-old David White at his home on Orchard Street in Klamath Falls. He was Ray’s neighbor and was apparently murdered sometime between October first and November 12th. The Klamath Herald and news says Ray is accused of cutting white up in an effort to hide the body, which was discovered after police followed a tip and checked White’s house. Ray may need an extradition hearing if she fights it. Klamath County will empanel a criminal grand jury later this week to produce an indictment.
